Adria and Drew were the perfect couple- quirky, fun, and laid back. They had a mid-day, summertime wedding at the historic Mercury Hall in Austin, Texas. Their ceremony was performed in front of a small group of friends and family under the shade of the giant trees in the backyard of the former church.
There’s a wonderful new tradition starting where the bride has a first look with her father and I.AM.HERE.FOR.IT! It’s such a special moment and a great opportunity to capture one of the greatest loves between a dad and his little girl. And these two did NOT disappoint.
Being able to capture Adria’s closest friends and her sister as they see her in her dress for the very first time is a pretty amazing moment. There are tons of smiles and even a few tears. These guys were pretty fun!
This was one of my favorite moments of the day, seeing these little girls run down the aisle towards Drew. It was super cute, even when the littlest one almost toppled over. 🙂
And here’s the moment everyone has been waiting for… Here comes the bride! I love how Adria and her dad are just having a laid back conversation leading out to the yard. And her bouquet is incredible!
Gosh I love this shot. Not because Drew is crying already, but… it’s very important that I captured this moment. It’s one of my faves!

There were so many moments to capture real, raw emotions during this wedding. You don’t always realize that this stuff is happening behind the scenes but when you get your images back after your wedding, you’ll be really glad that your photographer was there to capture these for you.
I had never heard of a second line before this wedding but let me tell you- it is SO much fun! It’s a New Orleans tradition where the brass band performs and the guests parade around with them waving fun colored napkins. This was how Adria and Drew ended their big day!
