A: There are plenty of indoor and outdoor locations in and around Austin, Texas that work for beautiful maternity photos. My photo studio in Cedar Park is one versatile indoor option. I’m also open to traveling to outdoor locations to take the perfect photo. McKinney Falls State Park is one very popular option, but I’ve also done other local parks, wildlife refuges, and gardens.
Q: Where Can I Take Professional Photos In Austin?
A: It’s best to take your maternity photos between weeks 30-35 of pregnancy when your bump is starting to show, but you aren’t too uncomfortable to get around. As well as looking good, one of my aims is to help my clients feel good, as well, and that can get tricky the closer you get to your due date.
Q: What Week Should I Take Maternity Photos?
A: All of my photo sessions are unique, which means individual pricing will vary. Maternity and newborn packages start at $900 and increase based on what is included in the package. For more information about my specific prices, please see my pricing page.
Q: What Is The Average Price For Professional Photos?
A: Pregnancy comes with a lot of emotion, often including conflicting feelings about the way we look. As with any photo you might take, you might criticize the way you look in a picture one day and later change your mind about the photo.
Unfortunately, I realized this after I had my son and missed out on the opportunity to take photos of my pregnant body. My goal is to provide my clients with pictures of their baby bump and help them see and cherish themselves regardless of the way they think they look.

Jen is absolutely wonderful to work with. She was very responsive and professional from the time I first reached out to her until we received our final photos. I can’t say enough great things about her work. I’ve never been comfortable in front of a camera, but Jen made the photo shoot so much fun and captured some gorgeous images. Then I was even more impressed when we went for our newborn photos. Jen is AMAZING with babies. Our baby had been very fussy leading up to our session so I was worried we wouldn’t get any good shots. This is my first time being pregnant and also experiencing a maternity photo session. I’m still in awe of my beyond gorgeous maternity photos!!!! Jen ultimately made me feel very comfortable. She even got waist deep in water getting the perfect angles of my BEAUTIFUL shots, if that’s not dedication then I’m not sure what is! HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Working with Jen for our Newborn session was amazing! From the beginning she was responsive, professional yet very friendly, and gave us great information prior to our session so we would be prepared. She has a great workflow for the session but takes her cues from the little one so she can capture the best possible moments for you! She's so patient with the babies and it's clear she genuinely loves what she does! She's really creative with her shots and is willing to work in anything that you might want (ours was military stuff)! Jen is a baby whisperer!! My biggest concern was not being able to get the cute sleepy newborn photos cause my daughter was a bit older, but wow-o-wow was I wrong! Jen is unbelievably talented and experienced working with newborns, and was able to get baby girl to fall asleep for every photo! I even implemented some of the techniques she used in the studio in my daily life to get baby girl to nap! I truly had no idea how much effort goes into getting a cute newborn photo! I was amazed when she spent ~45 minutes getting my baby to fall asleep, and patiently move my sweet girl into the froggy pose!!
