A: There are plenty of indoor and outdoor locations in and around Austin, Texas that work for beautiful maternity photos. My photo studio in Cedar Park is one versatile indoor option. I’m also open to traveling to outdoor locations to take the perfect photo. McKinney Falls State Park is one very popular option, but I’ve also done other local parks, wildlife refuges, and gardens.
A: It’s best to take your maternity photos between weeks 30-36 of pregnancy when your bump is starting to show, but you aren’t too uncomfortable to get around. As well as looking good, one of my aims is to help my clients feel good, as well, and that can get tricky the closer you get to your due date.
A: All of my photo sessions are unique, which means individual pricing will vary. Maternity and newborn packages start at $700 and increase based on what is included in the package. For more information about my specific prices, please see my pricing page.
A: Pregnancy comes with a lot of emotion, often including conflicting feelings about the way we look. As with any photo you might take, you might criticize the way you look in a picture one day and later change your mind about the photo.
Unfortunately, I realized this after I had my son and missed out on the opportunity to take photos of my pregnant body. My goal is to provide my clients with pictures of their baby bump and help them see and cherish themselves regardless of the way they think they look.
A: A maternity photo session aims to highlight the beauty of pregnancy, motherhood, and the body. Maternity photographers tend to put moms in the spotlight while also highlighting the changing pregnancy body -- mainly the baby bump.
A: My photography studio is in Cedar Park, but I serve Austin, Westlake, Lakeway, Lago Vista, Spanish Oaks, Bee Caves, Leander, Georgetown, Round Rock, and Crystal Falls.

I love Jen! She’s done our maternity, newborn, and holiday photos, and they’ve all turned out amazing! Her turnaround is quick, and she’s very responsive to any questions! Hopefully she likes us because we will be using her for many photoshoots to come! -- Kelsi
My shoot was in the woods, with snow all around -- and it was absolutely stunning. Thirty-six weeks pregnant with baby #3, I wasn’t exactly feeling like a model, but she made me feel (and look) amazing. Her work is truly beautiful... I can’t speak highly enough of her! She was so easy to get along with and made me feel so comfortable. -- Sheralyn
Working with Jen for our Newborn session was amazing! [She] was responsive, professional yet very friendly, and gave us great information prior to our session so we would be prepared. [She] takes her cues from the little one so she can capture the best possible moments for you! She’s so patient...and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does! -- Nicole
