I didn’t start this work because I dreamed of being a photographer. I started it because I lost my daughter, Ruby.
That kind of grief shifts everything. It changed how I looked at motherhood, memory, and time. It made me want to freeze the moments I still had with my son. To make sure nothing slipped through the cracks.
In the years that followed, I built a business—one late night and early morning at a time. I was raising a child, rebuilding my life, and teaching myself how to tell stories through light and connection. Photography gave me purpose again. It gave me something to create when so much had been taken.
This wasn’t a side hustle. It wasn’t a hobby. It was survival. And eventually, it became art.
Now, with over ten years of experience, I specialize in maternity and newborn photography because I understand how meaningful these seasons truly are. I’ve lived the beauty and the heartbreak. I’ve learned how to hold space for both.
Today, I live just outside of Austin with my son and my husband, Miguel. He’s kind, patient, and the steady calm I didn’t know I needed. Our family is a patchwork of loss and love, and I bring that depth into every session.
Every mother deserves photos that show her the strength she doesn’t always see in herself.
