I love when parents bring their dogs to the studio. Well-behaved dogs make photo sessions interesting, but I don’t do too many newborn photos with dogs. This Austin baby was lucky to get her photo taken with Mogli, her family’s furry companion. Mogli didn’t steal the show (although he was a delight!) because Miss Neysa took center stage for this beautiful, feminine, and super-floral Austin newborn package.
Neysa + The Family
The subject for these baby photos was Miss Neysa, a teeny little delight. Her mom (Prat), Dad (Pramod), and Doggo (Mogli) came along to help her shine.
It was a full studio — especially full of love! To kickstart the newborn session, I posed Neysa and Mogli for some adorable pictures together. Mogli was a trouper throughout the session, and he looks so sweet and protective of his little sister here.
Next, we did a few pictures with everyone in them. Prat & Pramod are so obviously in love with each other and Neysa in this photo! Of course, once you can manage to take your eyes away from the happy parents you’ll notice Mogli looking dapper in his doggy bow-tie. Mr. Mogli only stayed for the first third of the baby photos, after which Pramod took him home.
Austin Baby + Austin Mama
Prat, Pramod, Mogli and now Neysa are a true Austin family. They even live nearby my photography studio, which meant that all Pramod had to do to was walk down the street to bring Mogli home. While he did, Prat + Neysa got to take some glamor shots together.
Prat had requested floral themes for Neysa’s baby photos, so I couldn’t help but include them in the photos with she and Neysa. These white roses were lovely in contrast to Prat’s outfit. As far as Neysa is concerned, she was just as beautiful as a little rose, so they went perfectly with every shot of her.
When Pramod got back, we made sure to include him in some pictures with Neysa and Prat. I love how they coordinated their shirts to contrast Neysa’s white outfit. They looked so distinguished, and I just can’t get over how beautiful Prat’s hair looked in these shots next to the flat black of their shirts.
Of course, since I got photos of just Prat and Neysa, and just Mogli and Neysa, I also had to get some shots of just Pramod and Neysa, too!
I chose some black and white sets from their solo shots because I just loved the way the contrast worked out! Especially in the photo where Neysa has her gorgeous eyes open. It’s clear she loves her dad already, but the feeling is so obviously mutual. Pramad looks so proud to be holding his beautiful daughter in these.
Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice
Prat wanted florals for Neysa’s newborn photos, but she also requested pinks and whites. I was happy to oblige! I even had a new flower baby swing to include in her photos. I’m so happy she was the first little one to grace this prop– she is giving off Anne Geddes baby vibes in these photos, just as cute as can be.
As if one swing prop wasn’t enough, I also wanted to get Neysa into one of my other swing props. Something a little simpler complimented this frilly, sweet newborn dress her parents had picked out for her while still giving her the illusion she was swinging. The way she held her legs in this shot was perfect! It looked like she was rocking herself back and forth.
For the pink request, I went with a customer favorite. The star crown is always a hit — just dainty enough to fit perfectly on a newborn. I love to pair it with a pink backdrop and this delicate star-studded tulle, which makes Miss Neysa look like she fell right out of the heavens.
It’s also perfect because, despite the packed house, Austin baby Neysa was still the star of the show.
