First Birthday Photos in Austin
Oh, Baby James, it’s your first birthday! James is another baby I’ve been so fortunate to have followed from maternity session through the first birthday. I love following their little journeys and have really liked keeping up with this guy on Instagram! I’m so excited to finally share these first birthday photos in Austin!
I was so excited when his mom reached out to me about first birthday photos for Baby James! She sent me a few inspiration pics along with some outfit options. This hunk was going to wear a bow tie and I am here for it! I loved the way the blue/silver/and white balloons coordinated with his little outfit…
Have you ever seen a cuter baby wearing a bow tie and suspenders? I’m serious- He’s so adorable!
My son, Deacon, helped me by blowing up balloons and helping me attach them into a garland shape. Okay, I’m totally lying. I blew up the balloons with this incredible machine (I have a lot of hot air, but not enough for this job!) and then Deacon stole the balloons and flung them all over my house. He dive-bombed me several times by tossing them down to the living room from the second floor. I got a little bit of revenge when the balloons would unexpectedly pop in his face. It was hilarious! I should probably say that no children were harmed in the making of this balloon garland!
I have found that most kids either love the cake and fling it everywhere or they hate it and start to cry. Both emotions are totally acceptable and equally as cute! Baby James was the neatest eater. I don’t think a crumb fell off of the cake stand! He didn’t make a mess at all until he shoved his whole hand filled with frosting into his face. It was probably the easiest cake smash cleanup I’ve ever had! Thank you, Baby James! (Okay, now that you’re officially ONE I guess I can just call you James now!)
His mom brought him this backup outfit- more suspenders (YES!) and a dinosaur button-down onesie. Yes, we are going to need him to put that on. Seriously, isn’t he the cutest?
