Austin Newborn Photographer
I think this little guy is pretty excited about it being Friday! I was looking forward to this weekend because I really wanted to go check out a waterfall I just learned about but I think it’s going to have to wait with all of the rain that we are expecting. I won’t complain though, I know we need it!
Let’s take a moment to look at how great this baby’s skin tone looks with this hunter green backdrop! I love how dark it is but it’s not overpowering. Froggy pose for the win!
I like to keep the majority of my images simple and timeless. After all, your new baby and all of their tiny little features should be the focus of these images.
As an Austin Newborn Photographer, I really love it when #hellomommas book a bump to baby package with me as it really allows me to learn more about their journey and really get to know them. It was during this process that I learned that this little guy is her rainbow baby.
We should really talk about rainbow babies for a second. They are babies born after a miscarriage, stillbirth, or an infant who passed from natural causes. These precious babies are often seen as the rainbow after the storm that the family has endured. This little guy is one of those rainbow babies. He is absolutely perfect in every way. His mom really wanted to incorporate a rainbow into some of the images and here’s what we came up with:
Pretty sweet and simple. Just a small nod to what they’ve overcome to get to this moment. This fabulous moment of holding their precious new baby that they’ve dreamt about for a very long time.
I should also mention that tiny baby beds are my jam. I love them so much and there are so many different ways you can pose these little nuggets!
I’m a mom and I know how hard it is to get into photos with your kiddos. But… as a photographer, I’m going to give you a little piece of advice. DO IT. No matter how puffy, out of shape, (whatever other excuse you want to insert here), you think you are… I promise you that down the road you are going to thank me for having you get in a few pictures. This beautiful momma did her hair and makeup while I took care of her baby and did his newborn photos and then she grabbed a dress from my client closet and we got these beautiful photos of her and her new baby. She looked beautiful and I know she’s going to cherish these pictures forever.
And yes, you get the color AND black and white versions of all of your photos when you receive your final images.
Black and white images are so simple and pure. I really do think they are amazing.
