I love my job as an Austin baby photographer. I love connecting with people on a deeper level, watching them cuddle with their new babies and I love capturing images that show off their love for each other and their growing family. It makes me smile to look at those images after each session and actually feel the emotion when I am editing them. Delivering finished Austin baby photos to new parents is so fulfilling as I know they are going to treasure them for years to come.
You know that feeling when you meet someone and they are just so happy and welcoming that they give you all the warm and fuzzy feelings inside? Well, that’s how I feel about Nikki and Austen. I’ve known them for years as they own Streamline Crossfit which is located in Cedar Park, Texas. They promote a family friendly atmosphere at their gym and their caring personalities extend well beyond the walls of the gym.
Seriously, look at these guys- how could you not love them?!
I think it’s important to mention here that Baby Ethan totally pooped on dad during these next few photos. Poop happens and is totally normal during your newborn photoshoot! I always recommend that parents have a change of clothes on hand just in case but I also have plenty of towels to clean up the mess if you decide to go shirtless. He owns a gym- of course we are showing off those muscles!
Nikki’s smile is infectios and I was so happy I was able to catch her little giggle while she was holding her son. Being a mom looks great on her! See that first picture where Baby Ethan was smiling as mom was kissing him? Those images make my heart so happy!
Next it was Baby Ethan’s time to shine… and he slept through the whole thing! I keep my studio nice and warm because it keeps the babies sleepy which is best for posed newborn photography. It’s the perfect way to get those tiny fingers and little faces in just the right position.
How cozy does this little guy look in these Austin baby photos?
Dad spent some time in the Marine Corps so they brought along some personal items so we could incorporate them into this Austin newborn photoshoot. It’s pretty incredible to see this tiny baby next to dad’s dress cap.
I think this next images was one of my favorites as it incorporated dad’s scarf that he wore daily on his deployment. It is something he had with him each and every day and it was really special to be able to use it in a photo with his new baby.
Mom had shared some photos from Ethan’s nursery during the initial session consult when we were discussing what colors she might want to use throughout the session. The whole room was a safari theme and I thought this would be a great image to hang on their wall. This next image is what is called a composite- meaning that I took a photo and merged it with another photo to make it look like Baby Ethan was snoozing soundly on the trunk of this majestic elephant.
