I'm Jen, and I've been an Austin newborn photographer for over ten years. My Leander studio is set up specifically for newborn sessions—the lighting, the temperature, the props, everything is designed around making this easy and safe for your tiny human.

Working With Your Austin Newborn Photographer
timing & booking
As your Austin newborn photographer, I recommend booking your newborn session during your second trimester. If you're also planning maternity photos, ask me about Bump to Baby packages that include both sessions and save you $475 plus include professional hair & makeup for your maternity session. Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 3 weeks after birth, when babies are still sleepy and naturally curl into those sweet poses we all love. I do have extensive experience doing newborn photography with babies up to 3 months of age.
Sessions take place in my Leander studio, about 20 minutes from downtown Austin. Temperature controlled for baby's comfort, fully equipped with props and accessories, everything we need is here.

This newborn session is just the beginning. My favorite clients are the ones who come back for milestone sessions, then family portraits, and eventually maternity photos for baby number two.
I get to watch families grow and kids develop personalities. The trust and comfort level that builds over multiple sessions shows in the images—everyone relaxes because they know what to expect from me as their Austin family photographer.
When you book newborn + milestone sessions together, you get priority booking for all future sessions. As your family grows, I'm here to document it.

After booking your newborn photography session, we'll stay in touch as your due date approaches. Once baby arrives, we'll schedule your session within that ideal first two weeks. I handle all the setup and posing—you focus on enjoying this special time with your newest family member.
You'll see previews within 48 hours and receive your final edited gallery within 7 to 10 days. All images come in both color and black & white versions, high-resolution and yours to print wherever you want.

Q: When should I book my Austin newborn photographer?
A: Book during your second trimester, but we'll schedule your actual session within the first 14 days after birth when babies are sleepiest and most cooperative for those classic newborn poses.
Q: how long do newborn photography sessions take?
A: Newborn sessions typically take 2-3 hours. We work on baby's schedule with plenty of time for feeding, changing, and soothing. The studio is kept extra warm for baby's comfort.
DO YOU OFFER PROPS AND ACCESSORIES FOR NEWBORN SESSIONS?
A: Yes, my studio has an extensive collection of props, blankets, wraps, headbands, and accessories specifically chosen for newborn photography. Everything is sanitized between sessions for safety.
Q: WHAT IF MY BABY IS FUSSY DURING THE SESSION?
A: Totally normal! We work at baby's pace with breaks for feeding and comforting. My experience with hundreds of newborns means I have a lot of soothing techniques and can also position babies safely for the best results.
Q: Do you offer payment plans for Austin newborn photography?
A: Yes, I offer payment plans for all session types. I also offer the option to use Klarna or Affirm for payment.
