Hello beautiful ladies!
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month and I wanted to highlight a campaign that is near and dear to my heart. Turn the Towns Teal is a national non-profit to promote awareness of ovarian cancer and its subtle symptoms.
They tie teal ribbons in various locations around different towns across the US during the month of September to bring awareness to the disease.

I did this session a couple of years ago while visiting my family back in Connecticut. My mom and two aunts lovingly put on these tutus and we did the session on my aunt and uncle’s beautiful property in Bolton, CT, which happens to be a town that turns teal each September. My cousin and I even put on tutus for a few pics! I am pretty sure the entire town heard us laughing right there on my aunt’s front lawn!
These women are amazing and I feel so proud to come from a family of such strong, beautiful, and fun women! They have overcome so much both individually and as sisters and they have set such a wonderful example for their children. I am super lucky to have all of these women in my life and this is exactly how I will always remember them- smiling, laughing, and embracing every single moment.
