When Amanda initially reached out to me she expressed her love for Brigitte Bardot, a famous film actress from the 50’s and 60’s. She wanted this to inspire part of her Cedar Park maternity photoshoot. Amanda is also a hairstylist and nailed the big, sexy hair vibe! Check out what we came up with!
Isn’t she STUNNING? Omg, I loved everything about this session. I loved how it was something different from what moms typically go for and I loved how amazing the black and whites came out from the studio portion!

During the inquiry process, Amanda revealed to me that this pregnancy was her rainbow baby, meaning that she had lost the baby from her last pregnancy. These sessions always hold a special place in my heart after going through my own loss almost 6 years ago. I wanted to create beautiful images for her and her husband to remember this beautiful moment in their lives. They welcomed their baby, Autumn Claire just a few weeks later. I am so incredibly happy for them!
Once we finished up the studio portraits, we went out back behind my studio where there is a giant open space with lots of different options for photos. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite places for a Cedar Park maternity photoshoot because it is a quick walk from the studio, we don’t have to fight for parking, and there is hardly ever anyone out there! And that golden goodness at sunset- I am here for it!
We did this session in January so I’m loving how Amanda wore that mustard-colored shawl for the outdoor photos. It provided just the right pop of color that was needed during this winter maternity session!
