Where the Wild Things Are Cake Smash Photos in Cedar Park, Texas
I first met this beautiful, blue-eyed babe when he was about 6 months old and attended one of my Valentine’s Day mini sessions and I was SO EXCITED when his momma asked me to do cake smash photos for his 1-year milestone session. She wanted a Where the Wild Things Are theme and had even gotten him a Max costume! I was so excited when she initially told me about it but actually seeing him in the costume made my own momma heart absolutely melt!
Before we get down to the cake photos, I always get some photos of just the birthday baby by themselves. Turning ONE is a pretty important milestone and I really want to capture a lot of fun photos of your baby!
Oh my goodness, he was as cute as can be! I loved that shot of him leaning on the stool and you can see the little tail behind him!
Those baby blues really just draw you right in, don’t they?

We got him changed out of his Max costume so he could really dig into that cake… And this is why I love cake smash photos in 3… 2… 1…
Over the years I’ve noticed that babies either seem to love the cake or they hate it and both reactions are pretty amazing. I think it’s safe to say that Everett LOOOOOVED this cake! He was just so excited to have it all over his hands and he kept cheering himself on! He was so proud of himself. 🙂
I think we can call these successful cake smash photos!
This session was a blast. There was lots of cake smashing and little Everett loved EVERY.SINGLE.MOMENT. The little faces he made and how he raised his arms and squealed totally made my day! Actually, I loved every single moment too!
