Oh 2016 you were SO good to me! I got to do what I love best- be around happy, smiling faces!
BABIES! I got to start the year off with some of the cutest, chubbiest little men! Ryder and Xander were squishy, and sweet, and oh boy did they make my heart melt! Blair and Elizabeth wanted to refresh their headshots and we had many, many laughs at the old courthouse in Georgetown, TX. Erica and Rylan showed me just how cute the two of them are together during their session at Brushy Creek Park. Lee and Hadley couldn’t be any ore adorable during their downtown session. Dominic’s true personality came out and he showed us just how high he could fly!
Maggie graduated from high school and we explored some pretty cool spots in downtown Austin, TX. Avery got engaged and we had a really sweet engagement/maternity/family session at St. Edward’s Park. Kelly wanted to surprise Charlotte’s daddy with a session for father’s day! Isn’t that door gorgeous? It’s one of my favorite locations. Jaxon showed off how handsome he is with those big, beautiful eyes! He and his momma are freaking adorable together. The Benavides Family came back for another session to celebrate Ellie’s third birthday. She’s quite the princess!
ANOTHER BABY! Little Mavrick was soooo sweet. He wanted to stay awake and check out all of the action but we finally got him to sleep so we could get some of those squishy baby poses that everybody loves.I was asked to do a Bridesmaids styled shoot with Kaleighn and her special ladies. They flew into Austin just to have a little fun for the weekend. It was epic. I went home to Connecticut and photographed friends I’ve known since I was a kid. We got caught in the rain and saw one of the most incredible rainbows I’ve ever seen! I spent a few days at the Cape and saw some of the most amazing sunsets with my incredible family.
See that cutie up there? Xander was one of my first babies of the year. He turned 6 months and we had a fancy session in the park. Gosh, he is growing up so fast! He’ll be one soon! I photographed some pretty amazing families this fall! And we got lucky and the warm weather stuck around well into December! We had lots of golden trees and beautiful flowers. The light was incredible! The Stamper family brought their 4 dogs with them. That was a first for me but we made it work! I can’t say enough about this wonderful family! Rocco and his sweet family came together for a pretty spectacular session near the Barton Creek Country Club. Then we made our way over to the 360 bridge. It was an incredible evening and the views are priceless!
This fall, we explored the Texas State Capital and the Domain. I also found a sweet little park in Georgetown with the most amazing trees! I had lots of families take advantage of my mini sessions and I met some pretty incredible people. I loved observing how everyone interacted and we really were able to bring out the best of everyone during those sessions. Sweet Eleanor was born and I was SO excited to do a super girly newborn session. I LOVE newborns. They are pretty incredible little humans and I feel so lucky that their mommas chose me to document their first few days of life. My mentors, J and Hannah, asked me to photograph their sweet family. Holy cow was I nervous! They are never in front of the camera themselves so it was a really nice treat for me to be able capture some memories for them.
I really love sessions in Georgetown. There’s so much to offer- downtown scenes as well as huge, amazing pecan trees! And these families were super awesome. Lots of smiles and even more laughs. Will, Jordan-Anne, and Baby Ari looked AMAZING in front of that beautiful door. Elliott and Audrey’s personalities really shined during their session with their mom. Their session really makes me smile! The Newman Family got all dressed up and had a fantastic sunset session with those gorgeous pecan trees. The colors Jen chose were perfect! I’ve known the Anderson family forever. They’ve got 5 beautiful blonde kiddos. We got lucky and beat the rain that day. We had a blast catching up and playing near the pond. Alice and Blake showed me a great spot that made me feel like I was out in the country but I was right at home in the middle of Austin. It was absolutely gorgeous! There were horses, donkeys, and Bull Creek!
